Great

The ZonLi Weighted Blanket utilizes deep pressure therapy to help users get a better night’s sleep. Deep pressure therapy is a gentle but firm pressure that relaxes the nervous system, helping individuals to fall asleep and stay asleep. Deep pressure therapy works by helping to regulate the body’s autonomic nervous system (ANS). The ANS works unconsciously to regulate the processes of the body and one’s breathing rate. The ANS contains two systems, the sympathetic nervous system (SNS), aka fight or flight, and the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS), aka rest and digest. When deep pressure is applied, the body switches from the SNS to PSNS, allowing for a deeper, better sleep. The weight of the blanket’s glass beads is what accomplishes this pressure.

A U.S.-based bedding product manufacturer produces the ZonLi Weighted Blanket. ZonLi considers its most valuable asset to be its dedicated and loyal team of operators. ZonLi states that they operate with a high level of professionalism and that their team of motivated professionals has created long-lasting relationships with customers and communities.

The blanket is constructed of natural and environmental material and contains hypoallergenic, non-toxic, odorless glass beads which are sewed evenly into tiny squares. ZonLi promises exceptional quality, stating that nothing leaves their factory until it is thoroughly checked for defects.

The blanket contains several individual layers — the middle layer consists of glass beads, which provide the weight, the bottom and top layer consist of microfiber and solid polyester for extra padding, and a cotton shell envelops these layers with additional layers of cotton backing. This multi-layered construction provides above-average insulation. Additionally, the materials are pretty durable, giving the blanket an enhanced lifespan.

The ZonLi Weighted Blanket does not include a duvet cover; it sells separately. ZonLi offers duvet covers that are available in polyester minky, cotton, rayon, and bamboo.

ZonLi Blankets are available in 5,7,10 and 12-pound weights for children, and 15, 17, 20, 22, 25, and 30-pound weights for adults. ZonLi recommends that individuals select a weighted blanket that is approximately 10 percent of their body weight. This means that ZonLi’s blankets can accommodate children and adults who weigh between 50 and 300 pounds.

Technical details

The ZonLi Weighted Blanket is composed of multiple individual layers. The top and bottom layers consist of microfibers and solid polyester. The top and bottom layers surround a middle layer of glass beads within extra small square pockets. All three layers are surrounded by a cotton shell layer and additional layers of cotton backing.

ZonLi Blankets are constructed using high-density sewing technology, prevents loose threads and the leakage of beds. Additionally, the loops that connect the blanket to the duvet cover are refined and durable; this ensures that the blanket will not move around inside the cover. Furthermore, ZonLi uses natural fabric that is very soft and incredibly breathable.

Material/Construction

The ZonLi Blanket consists of seven layers. The first layer, starting from the outside, is made up of breathable material, which is ideal for body temperature control. The second layer is composed of two cotton layers that prevent the blanket from tearing or leaking. The third layer is non-glued padding that surrounds the bead layer to ensure maximum comfort. The fourth layer is the bead layer, which contains environmentally friendly, hypoallergenic, non-toxic and odorless glass beads. The fifth layer is a repetition of the third layer of padding, and the sixth layer is another two layers of cotton padding. Lastly, the seventh layer is another layer of breathable material with eight loops to hold the weighted blanket in place inside the duvet cover.

Duvet covers of cotton, rayon, bamboo or polyester minky sell separately. The duvet cover attaches to the blanket using eight ties on the inside of the cover. Duvet covers are available in dark grey, navy grey, and deer print.

ZonLi promises that its products are constructed of the highest quality materials. They state that they carefully select their content through various processes and only use fabric and thread that can withstand the test of time. Furthermore, ZonLi promises that before anything leaves their factory, they thoroughly check all products for defects.

Cleaning/Care

ZonLi Blankets weighing less than 12 pounds can be machine-washed in cold water. However, the company advises air drying rather than machine drying. Blankets over 12 pounds should be hand-washed and then laid flat to try in the sun. Blankets should not be exposed to excessive heat, as this may damage the blanket’s structure.

Duvet covers are machine-washable in cold water. They should be air-dried. However, you can fluff them in the dryer on a low setting. Furthermore, duvet covers should not be tumble-dried, ironed or washed with bleach.
